I first read Hal Elrod's best-selling book The Miracle Morning about 8 years ago after a client recommended it to me.

If you've never heard of it, he writes about 6 habits that will "transform your life before 8 am."

The 6 habits are:

⭐ Silence (Meditation)

⭐ Affirmations

⭐ Visualisation

⭐ Exercise

⭐ Reading

⭐ Scribing (Journaling)

Life SAVERS, as an acronym, which I guess is why he doesn't just say meditation and journaling. That would be Life MAVERJ and it doesn't have quite the same ring about it does it 😃.

I do 2 of these things, sometimes 1...

My morning routine is coffee in bed with my journal and sometimes a book, and it's extremely unlikely that I will ever exercise before 8 am.

I do think that all of these things are incredibly valuable tools to have up our sleeve and to use frequently. 

Maybe I should give it a go.

On the other hand, after a quick Google search, it's clear that people who are successful all have different ways of starting their day. There's no right or wrong.

You've got to do what works for you, and what works for you will be different to what works for someone else.

That said, it's usually clear that some of our habits are better than others and you don't need me to tell you what those are. You know!

Circling back to The Miracle Morning list, these are all great things to include in your day. I don't think they all need to be done before 8 am but I get the principal that it would be a powerful way to start the day.
