Growth Is Not Always Comfortable

Last weekend I got up at 3am for 3 days straight - Saturday, Sunday, Monday - so that I could participate in a live coaching event. It was 3am due to the time zone difference.

It was very cool and I got a lot out of it. I was tired but buzzing by the end.

This time last year a friend invited me to the same event and I almost turned it down due to the early morning start, but the voice in my head reminded me that if I keep doing what I have been doing then I will keep getting the same results, and that an inconvenient and uncomfortable early morning now and again would be a small price to pay for business and personal growth.

What followed has indeed been a year of pretty remarkable business and personal growth.

The coaching group that I joined often had calls at 5am in the morning and I showed up for each and every one of them barring the times that I was on vacation.

I have been transformed in many ways as a result.

• In that time I created, sold and delivered a whole new coaching programme, The Business of Bookkeeping
• I improved my existing coaching membership, From Bookkeeper to Business Owner
• I created and delivered a free training for bookkeepers, the 3-part Build a Better Bookkeeping Business masterclass 
• I upskilled a ton in digital and online marketing which I have been able to implement into my business, as well as being super useful when coaching my clients about their marketing
• I connected with a very cool community of like-minded people from around the world who are achieving phenomenal success in their businesses - the people you surround yourself with play a huge part in what you perceive to be possible
• I grew my email list from 340 to over 1400 bookkeepers from around the world, and it's still growing (that's you! thank you for signing up for my weekly updates), and I consistently emailed you with a focus on delivering practical value that will help you to build and grow your own thriving bookkeeping business - a habit that meant I needed to get over my own imposter syndrome

Sign up. Show up. Do the work. Achieve your goals. 

The thing is, coaching and education enhances your life and makes you better. We are not the same people afterwards. 

Once we learn something we cannot unlearn it.

Coaching and education enables us to level up in life and business, and is a cornerstone of success. I can't think of any successful person who hasn't had help, support and advice along the way.

Where in your life are you trading comfort and convenience for the rewards that business and personal growth can bring?

There's no doubt that growth can be uncomfortable. Growing pains are a real thing. But equally, growth can be invigourating, rewarding, and will increase your confidence in a way that continuing to do the same thing day in and day out will never do.

It's May 2022 already (!!)

The decisions you make now will determine what May 2023 looks like.

Will you trade a little comfort and convenience to instead grow and level up in next 12 months and beyond?
